Jennifer W. Levy-Tatum graduated cum laude from Widener University School of Law in 1997. Thereafter, she joined the law firm of Ballard Spahr
Andrews & Ingersoll, LLP in Philadelphia, where she practiced general real estate law for two years.
Ms. Levy-Tatum established her private law practice in West Chester, Pennsylvania on June 1, 1999. She concentrates her practice in real estate and
probate matters and has represented Businesses, Non-Profit Organizations, Buyers, Sellers, Landlords and Tenants in various commercial and
residential real estate transactions across Pennsylvania.
She has also represented both Plaintiffs and Defendants in numerous real estate litigation matters in Chester County, Philadelphia County, Berks
County, Lancaster County, Montgomery County, Delaware County, Lehigh County, Northampton County and Lackawanna County.
Ms. Levy-Tatum is presently general counsel for the DeBaptiste Organization in West Chester, Pennsylvania. She is also a notary public of the
Commonwealth of Pennsylvania; member of the zoning hearing board of West Bradford Township; member of the board of directors and treasurer of the
River Village II Homeowner.s Association of Shawnee on Delaware; and secretary of the board of directors of the Barclay Friends retirement community
in West Chester. She also serves as an arbitrator in the Chester County Court of Common Pleas.
A native of Jamaica, Ms. Levy-Tatum graduated with Upper Second Class Honors (magna cum laude) from the University of the West Indies in Kingston,
Jamaica. After obtaining a Graduate Diploma in Education, with distinction in the theory and practice of Education, she taught Spanish as a foreign
language and English for Spanish speakers in Jamaica and the Cayman Islands at the high school and community college levels. She is now an adjunct
professor at Eastern University, where she is presently scheduled to teach two sections of Elementary Spanish and one section of Business Ethics. She
taught Real Property Law, Civil Litigation, Legal Research and Creditors. & Debtors. Rights at the PJA School in Upper Darby from September 2003 to
November 2006, while continuing to maintain her law practice.
Ms. Levy-Tatum joined the Prudential Insurance Company of America (now Prudential Financial) in 1987. She remained with The Prudential until 1997,
when she graduated from Law School. While with The Prudential she became a Fellow of the Life Underwriter Training Council (LUTCF) and earned the
Chartered Life Underwriter designation (CLU) at the American College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania.
Ms. Levy-Tatum has resided at her present address in West Bradford Township, since June of 1992. She is running for Judge of the Court of Common
Pleas of Chester County in the 2007 elections.
