Michele_Burger_new Michele Burger for School Board Director, Region 2

A resident of Tredyffrin Township for the past 17 years, Michele has been an active community member. She has been a dedicated volunteer with Devon-Strafford Little League, a Brownie troop leader, and a community activist. When her children were in elementary school, she was involved in many volunteer positions at Valley Forge Elementary school. She served as VFE PTO president for three years.

In recent years, Michele has regularly attended School Board meetings and subcommittee meetings. Last year, she and several other community members were instrumental in saving the tennis courts located on the Valley Forge Elementary School property from demolition, saving taxpayers $14,000. The Tredyffrin-Easttown School Board recognized her with a certificate of appreciation for her dedication to preserving this community resource.

Michele has a B.S. in Business Administration from Shippensburg University. She worked for Armour Swift-Eckrich, a division of ConAgra Foods, as a Retail Manager for the New York and Philadelphia districts prior to starting her family. She and her husband, Jim, have three children, Andrew, Alex, and Rachel. All three have been or are currently students in the T/E schools.
