A life-long resident of Pennsylvania, Lou is committed to community service and improving the lives of others. He has lived in Chester County for 16 years, three of them in Chesterbrook. He currently serves as Director of Graduate Health Administration at St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, where he also teaches Health Care Law and Healthcare Ethics. He is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. Previously, Lou served as Executive Director of Care Management/Home Care Services for geriatric and special needs patients. He also worked as Director of a specialized psychiatric program in Trenton; as Administrator of St. John Vianney Hospital in Downingtown; and CEO of a psychiatric hospital in Doylestown. He started his career doing clinical work in the field of alcoholism, designing and planning a comprehensive treatment program at Chester-Crozier Medical Center.
Lou began his devotion to service at the age of 15 when he entered the Catholic seminary. After graduating from college, he decided to seek a different vocational direction. He completed his graduate studies in Community Health at Temple University.
Lou provides workshops on leadership and care management services for the elderly. He is an active member of St. Isaac Jogues, where he serves as a lector. He has two children.
