Our next monthly current events forum (A Citizen’s Perspective) is scheduled for Monday April 9. The topic is:

Our Political System: For Sale – An Exploration of Campaign Finance

Today, 84% of Americans believe that money has too big an influence in our political campaigns. Over half of both Republicans and Democrats think that politicians are more likely to represent the moneyed interests than do what is in the public good. 79% of voters agree that large political contributions prevent congress from tackling important issues.

However, there are both short-term and long-term strategies and solutions that allow us to start fixing the problem. Please join us as we take a good look at how we can move forward.

Monday April 9, 7:30pm at the Tredyffrin Library
