Adam worked closely with our Chester County Commissioner, Kathi Cozzone. This is her statement about Adam.
“It’s with a profound sadness that I share with you the passing of my very good friend Adam Swope. Words cannot describe the loss to this world of a man so incredibly bright and kind and funny.
Adam and I met in 2005 when he became my campaign manager in my race for County Controller. It was he who orchestrated an unprecedented 48.19% of the vote that year. He was so proud of the race we ran that year that 4819 was a password he used! He managed every race of mine since, including my current LG campaign.
Outside of my husband, Adam knew me best. He knew before I did how I would react or feel about a situation. He knew what I wanted to say and made it sound good. If you ever heard me give a great speech, rest assured Adam had a huge hand in it.
In the last year, Adam worked by my side in the Commissioners office and I do not know how I will be able to go back to the office and walk past his lit up Steelers helmet and his Villanova “V”.
Adam was an eternal optimist who loved his parents, his Nana, cats, the Steelers, Game of Thrones, his fraternity, musicals, weird strategy games, Super Mario, Sunny in Philadelphia, the Daily Show and politics. Not necessarily in that order.
He worked tirelessly to elect Democrats in Chester County and was beyond thrilled to be a part of the history we made in 2017. He walked around like the cat that ate the canary!
Much more than all of that, Adam was a member of the Cozzone family and our hearts are broken. He loved our son. He loved our cats-probably more than us.
We will miss his laugh and his friendship.
Adam adored his parents and they were so very proud of him. We are keeping Kathy and Bob in our hearts.
Adam made a difference in this world and I am beyond grateful that Adam was a part of our lives.
