Judge Analisa Sondergaard was first elected in 2011 and is seeking a second term as Magisterial Judge for District 15-4-01. This includes much of Tredyffrin Township and most of East Whiteland Township. Analisa is a graduate of Temple Law School. She worked for the Philadelphia District Attorney’s prosecuting a variety of cases, many involving the physical assault of children and adults. After leaving the DA’s office, she entered private practice and worked as a litigator representing clients in both state and federal courts.
Since her election to District Court in 2011, Analisa has remained Of Counsel at the firm of McDonnell & Associates. She has worked with law enforcement to create programs for youthful offenders. She is a member of the Chester County Bar Association and serves as the Chair of the District Court Civil Committee and as a member of the District Court Criminal Committee. She currently holds the position of Treasurer of the Magisterial District Court Judges Association of Chester County.
Analisa has been endorsed by the Tredyffrin Township Police Association and the Chester County Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 11.
She and her husband Chris have lived in Tredyffrin for 11 years. They have two children, one of whom graduated from Conestoga High School and is now a sophomore at Temple University. His younger brother is a sophomore at CHS.
Analisa believes in giving back to the community. She volunteers with T&E Care and Surrey Services’ Meals on Wheels program. She serves as a CHS Mentor, participates in their Senior Internship Program and is a guest lecturer for the high school’s Criminal Justice classes. She speaks to student and parent groups about underage drinking. Analisa enjoys officiating at weddings for Chester County residents.
A native of Memphis, TN Analisa is a graduate of Christian Brothers University. She moved to the Philadelphia area to attend Temple Law.
